Just to let you know, our official last day of trading in 2025 is Wednesday 24th December, and that, as a company, we are back again on Monday 5th January 2026. 

But this is only half of the story.....

Muggins here is the only person in the company due to be working on Christmas eve.  All on my own.  Waiting in vain for the telephone to ring.  In the cold and dark.  Answering every email with the reply, "....Unfortunately I cannot assist with your query as our Accounts / Production / Purchasing / Company owner are not here until the New Year...."

And then, even though the bosses and the factory staff continue to enjoy their lengthy Christmas break, the poor office staff, including, yes, me again will be dragging our swollen, booze-infused bodies back into work on Friday 2nd January.  FRIDAY 2ND JANUARY!!!  I mean, what's the point of that.  Too hungover to care.  Too full of food to bother.  And yet, we'll be here, ploughing through hundreds of spam emails and shivering as the heating won't be coming back on until the factory is fully open.  Bitter?  No, not me.....
